MVAP assists Vietnam Vet Mary Alice, with finding a job and getting her a new revamped computer 2017
Mary Alice was struggling to make her monthly payments, without a computer to do job searches, she was down and out. STA Saratoga Technology Accelerator answer MVAP's "Call to Action" and took her old computer and totally revamped it like new. They also offered her a job! Thank you STA and good llck Mary Alice!
Helping a Vet in Need - WWII Hero Stan, unable to clean downed trees and debris off his roof.... MVAP volunteers step up!
Stan, a WWII Hero served 39 years Army for our Country. Dave Wallingford, also a Marine VET with multiple purple hearts, located Stan in need of much need maintainance on his home and yard. a CALL TO ACTION went out from Malta VETERANS Appreciation Program on a cold brisk morning in April. Tracy Gates and her 11 yr old daughter, Mike McLoughlin, Renee Farley answered that call. Stan, 92 yrs young and his wife Mildred, 87 will need help over the next months mowing, house cleaning, etc. while they recently were hospitalized. Jen Cleary will do a one time cleaning in May for them. The yard looks great, leaves were blown on the roof of their mobile home which had been there over the last few seasons, etc. THANK YOU, Stan, Dave and our volunteers!
